Katy Prayer Room History

Katy has a rich history that goes way back to before most of us were a part of The Katy Church. We believe that some of those prayers have birthed much of the Kingdom fruit that we are presently experiencing. We have the honor and the responsibility of keeping the flame of prayer burning as the city church. Two distinct ways that we foster and cultivate an atmosphere of prayer in unity centered around Christ is through:

We invite pastors, pastoral staff and ministry leaders to our weekly prayer meeting every Wednesday at noon in the The Great Southwest Prayer Center at 2655 S. Mason Road, Katy, TX.

We invite the city to three citywide prayer gatherings a year:

PASTORS PRAYER SUMMIT each March at Crier Creek. All pastors and ministry leaders are invited to come away for a 24 hour retreat which includes great food, a comfortable retreat setting, connection, and morever worship and prayer together as the city pastors. www.houstonprayersummit.org

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER & FIRE ON THE ALTAR each first weekend in May. We kickoff 3 days of night and day prayer with a huge gathering at the Leonard E. Merrill Center interceding for our country and leaders. That is followed by FIRE on the ALTAR running Thursday, Friday and Saturday with many churches taking timeslots to lift worship and prayer for our families, the lost, the church, our city, America and the nations of the world. www.katyprays.org

GLOBEL DAY OF PRAYER. Praying WITH the nations FOR the nations EACH Pentecost Sunday! We rotate this gathering at various host churches in the city. www.globaldayofprayer.com

We invite yo to visit THE GREAT SOUTHWEST PRAYER CENTER, a community prayer room located on the campus of Grace Fellowship UMC located at 2655 S. Mason Road. This place of prayer was consecrated by the city pastors on January 17th, 2007. This is where the city is coming together to build 24/7 night and day worship and prayer in the city. www.thegreatsouthwestprayercenter.org
